  4. Add categories such as “To Do,” “In Progress,” and “Done.”
  5. Click the “+” button inside a category to add cards.

📝 Managing Your Cards

You manage your workflow through the board view. Select a card to open the three-pane editor. The left pane shows your category list. The center pane shows the card content, such as titles and descriptions. The right pane shows your activity stats for the current project.

To move a card, click and hold it. Drag the card to the target category and release the mouse button. Your changes save automatically.

📉 Viewing Project Stats

Your stats update in real-time as you move cards. The dashboard displays the number of active tasks and finished items. You can filter these stats by category or date. This information helps you see which parts of your project require more attention.

🔐 Data Privacy

Deck does not connect to the internet to send your data. Every piece of information—your tasks, your notes, and your project categories—lives inside a local database on your computer. You keep full control over these files. If you want to back up your data, you can copy the project folder from your documents directory to an external drive.

💡 Frequent Questions

Do I need an internet connection to use Deck? No. The app functions entirely offline.

Can I move my boards to another computer? Yes. You can copy the local project files to another machine and open them using the “Import” option in the File menu.

How do I remove the app? Open Settings, navigate to Apps, find Deck, and select Uninstall. This removes the program from your system. Note that you may need to manually remove your project data files if you want a clean slate after uninstallation.

Does the app update itself? The app runs locally and does not check for updates automatically. Visit the download link periodically to check if a newer version is available. You can install a newer version directly over the old one to keep your files intact.

Can I change the appearance of the board? The app uses a fixed design style to ensure the interface remains consistent. You can rename categories and change card colors, but the layout follows the three-pane structure.
